What You Can Do
- Get all eligible kids in your community enrolled in CHIP or Children's Medicaid.
See if a family qualifies by using our online calculator. Help a family apply for CHIP or Children's Medicaid by printing out a copy of the application from http://www.chipmedicaid.org/english/apply.htm or by calling 1-877-KIDS-NOW (1-877-543-7669) for an application, instructions on how to fill it out, and a postage-paid return envelope. To apply, the family will need proof of their current income, proof of U.S. citizenship or immigration status for all children applying for coverage, and proof of expenses for child care, disabled adult care, child support and/or alimony. Help us in our efforts to expand CHIP so that children who live in families that earn too much for CHIP but not enough for private insurance have an option to purchase affordable health insurance through the state.
